Our process - How we work
Every project runs through three phases: discover, build, and deliver. The structure exists to keep budgets predictable and to surface problems early, while they are still cheap to fix.

Discover
We start by understanding how your business actually works, which is usually different from how the org chart says it works. That means sitting with the people who will use the system every day and mapping the steps they currently follow.
Discovery runs from one to three weeks depending on the size of the project. We look at the systems you already have, the data you hold, and the constraints you work within, whether those are regulatory, budgetary, or technical.
You get a written plan at the end: what we recommend building, in what order, and what it costs. If discovery shows that a custom build is the wrong answer for you, we say so.
Included in this phase
- Stakeholder interviews
- Process mapping
- Technical audit
- Feasibility studies
- Proofs of concept
- Scoped estimate

Build
Work is delivered in short increments, each ending in a demo of working software. You see progress regularly instead of waiting months for a reveal, so changes of direction happen while they are still cheap.
Every project has a named point of contact who knows the technical detail. You talk to someone who can answer the question rather than someone relaying it to the team and back.
Code goes through version control, automated testing, and review before it reaches your environment. Deployment is automated, which makes shipping an update routine rather than an event.
Their understanding of our business processes and technical expertise delivered a system that perfectly fits our needs and has scaled with our growth.

Deliver
Launch is planned rather than improvised. We migrate data in stages where the risk warrants it, run the new system alongside the old one when a hard cutover would disrupt operations, and train your team as each part goes live.
Real users always find things that testing does not. The weeks after launch are for watching how the system behaves under actual load and fixing what surfaces, which is why we plan for that time rather than treating it as overrun.
You own what we build. The code, the infrastructure, and the accounts are yours, documented and handed over. Most clients then move onto a support agreement, but that is a choice rather than a dependency.
Included in this phase
- Testing. Automated tests run on every change, so regressions are caught before they reach production rather than by your users afterwards.
- Infrastructure. We deploy to cloud platforms sized to your actual load, with monitoring and backups configured before launch day.
- Support. Support agreements cover monitoring, security updates, and the ongoing changes that come with a system people rely on.
Our values - Balancing reliability and innovation
New technology is worth adopting when it solves a problem you actually have. We take the same view of our own process: keep what works, and be honest about what does not.
- Meticulous. The details that get skipped are the ones that cost money later: error handling, edge cases, and what happens when the network drops halfway through a transaction.
- Efficient. We reuse what genuinely fits your problem and build what does not. Neither decision is made to pad an invoice.
- Adaptable. Requirements change while a project is running. Our phases are structured so that changing direction is a conversation rather than a renegotiation.
- Honest. If a cheaper tool solves your problem, we will tell you. The work we talk clients out of costs less than the work that fails.
- Committed. Most of our client relationships continue well past launch, because software needs maintenance and businesses keep changing.
- Practical. We choose technology for how well it fits the problem and how easily your team can live with it, not for how it looks on a CV.
